Chinese person here so take this for what you will. All the entrees I’ve tried, I’ve liked. I think everything is pretty solid and so does the rest of my fam minus my parents. Not sure why it doesn’t jive with them. (Joey’s voice) Hot and sour soup, good. Pork spare ribs, good. Honey walnut prawns, good. Rene was a great server, very attentive! Thanks for making it a great experience

Food is good and staff are nice. Very spacious inside. I like to come here a lot, sometimes with a large group and sometimes by myself. I recommend the cold dishes (cucumber, pig ear, beef scrap) as well as any flavored chicken wings. Rene was really nice and helped out a lot.

Home Eats is a great spot for casual Chinese food with generous portions and reasonable prices. We stopped in for lunch on a Thursday and it was surprisingly quiet, though the large dining room feels well-suited for family gatherings, group dinners, and banquets. The food came out quickly, portions were huge, and everything we ordered was flavorful. The spicy chicken definitely brought some heat, and the overall menu offers plenty of classic Chinese comfort-food options. What stood out most was the value—you get a lot of food for the price. Service was friendly, attentive, and low-key. The staff checked in regularly without being intrusive, and the whole experience felt relaxed and welcoming. A fun touch was the robot server that helped deliver dishes to the table. The location is also convenient, especially for anyone near Santa Clara University. With free parking available and several Home Eats locations around the Bay Area, it’s easy to see why the restaurant has become such a popular local favorite. They don't play around on portion sizes here. I was shocked at how much food they give you for the price. The Beef Chow Fun and Honey Walnut were the best versions of these two dishes I have had to date. I was an idiot and ordered both and really was eating on the leftovers for 3 days. You really only need one dish per person max. The Beef Chow Fun had perfectly cooked noodles and vegetables with a good bite, capturing the 'Wok Hei' that everyone desires with a solid Chinese noodle dish. The honey walnut chicken was loaded with the sweet glaze, but the chicken maintained its' crunch, even after it was in the fridge for a few days. The staff here was also super fast and friendly, and even split the checks for our big table. Flawless night out.

Home Eat is a fantastic find! The food tastes great and—best of all—it’s not greasy, which is a huge plus. The staff provides excellent service and is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home. The entire setup is clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended for a fresh, delicious Chinese meal!
